Python Job: Back End Engineer

· What we're looking for

· We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join team as our 3rd engineering hire! You will help define and shape the future of finance in Mexico and manage infrastructure for millions of people.

Requirement

· Expertise in Python

· Experience with Flask (or equivalent web framework)

· Experience with SQL

· Advanced knowledge of Bash

· Expertise building API’s, database models

· Bonus Points

· Experience with Terraform

· Expertise in AWS EC2, S3, and RDS

· Experience building data pipelines in Spark, Airflow, or similar tools

What You'll Do

· Manage our infrastructure using Terraform. Build scalable architectures, taking into consideration company trade-offs. Build necessary monitoring and recovery tools

· Design, implement, maintain, and document API.

· Monitor, and resolve breakages in the servers and API

· Obsess over customers, deeply understand their needs, and contribute to team discussions for brainstorming and defining product direction.

· Set a high bar in quality for future engineers. Bring clarity and energy to the team and deliver features with urgency

· Communicate clearly with the rest of the organization the flow of engineering projects

· Trade-offs

· Execution status, timeline, blockers

· Design decisions

· Interact with Design, and QA teams to create reliable systems.
